We are thrilled to announce that CPI OpenFox has successfully upgraded the interface between the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the OpenFox® Message Switch. In its place, we have implemented a cutting-edge Web Service interface that utilizes the Nlets National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standardized Extensible Markup Language (XML). This upgrade will greatly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the communication between the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles and the OpenFox Message Switch. This was a high-profile and extremely important project to the state of Vermont as the first phase of its DMV mainframe migration to support the new DMV web service.

As part of this project, we have incorporated all necessary vehicle message key transactions, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately exchanged. To support the new Vermont DMV web service and the associated NIEM XML message key format changes, CPI OpenFox has executed the essential modifications. We have updated the Message Switch and made the following configurations to the in-scope message key transactions (MKE):

Configured a new station class specifically designed for DMV web services processing.
Set up a new file to route DMV MKEs efficiently, ensuring seamless communication.
Established a new web services station and linked it to the new file, streamlining the entire process.
Reconfigured all in-scope MKEs to optimize performance and accuracy.

We are confident that these changes will greatly improve the overall functionality and effectiveness of the system, providing a smoother experience for all users involved.
