CPI and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) recently placed the OpenFox Message Switch into production in the CPI Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) center. The project entailed converting the existing OpenFox Switch code from AIX to Linux, moving the software into the CPI SaaS Center, and coordinating network route and firewall changes with both internal and external agencies. The project was of critical importance due to the expiring of maintenance coverage of the existing hardware. During the transition of operations from Cheyenne to the CPI SaaS Center in Bolingbrook, IL, the OpenFox Message Switch was down only 14 minutes. The Wyoming OpenFox Message Switch becomes the 6th CTA level system hosted in the CPI SaaS center.
